lyrics

There is no difference between here and Los Angeles
This midwest town is downright stuck in its ways
I've got this band and I swear we sound fabulous
But let's not be rash, let's not get carried away

I might be sick of hearing songs about Los Angeles
All desert folklore, sunshine mountain haze
I talk to refugees from southern California
And I'm filled with jealousy, doubt and malaze

But the lazy days I've had could amaze
Any sunkissed face anyway
Yet the places I've seen can't replace the sparkling dreams
Of California sands or rolling tumbleweeds

I count the miles between here and Los Angeles
I do believe that I have friends there today
I'm off to meet them in the depths of Laurel Canyon
To watch the ghosts of a century play

I swear sometimes I must have died in Los Angeles
And been reborn amidst the grass of rolling plains
Perhaps a pieace of me took shelter in ol' Joshua Tree
I'm sentimental for a time I can't explain

Still, the reigns of my fiery chariot lay in the stable
Beneath stores of grain
My fate will remain amidst rock, field and plain
And dream of Los Angeles fame

about

The Boxcar Suite Dayton, Ohio

"The Boxcar Suite excel at creating those magic moments. Moving from urgent punk to 60s, Byrds-esque harmonies with ease, The Boxcar Suite craft songs with the energy of a band that’s been jamming together for years. It just sounds so natural."
-Glide Magazine

"Unabashedly honest and direct, The Boxcar Suite has never been more candid and unashamed."
